Distribution of the English version of Strong Motion Data Records Including Strong Motion Observation Records at the Shika Nuclear Power Plant during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024

Regarding the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, JAEE have received the earthquake observation records of the main shock at the Shika Nuclear Power Plant from Hokuriku Electric Power Company. JAEE will distribute CDs containing these records. Please apply according to the instructions below.

Note 1: Strong -motion data will be reviewed according to the rules set forth by relevant ministries and agencies to determine whether the data is vendible. Please note that there may be cases in which the data cannot be sold as a result of the screening mentioned above. Please also understand that we cannot disclose the reasons for the screening results. In addition, please make the following pledge.

1. The purchased data cannot be copied for distribution to a third person or party.
2. The agency or company that provided the original data is to be credited as the provider of data for any outcome that result from use of the purchased data.
3. JAEE neither accepts questions on the data nor introduces any individual for inquiry about the data.

Note 2: The copyright of the CD distributed this time is owned by Hokuriku Electric Power Company. The applicants for this CD will be listed, but this list will only be used by our association and Hokuriku Electric Power Company for the purpose of identifying distribution recipients and will not be used for any other purposes.

Note 3: This CD is being distributed for the development of earthquake engineering and seismology, and its use for commercial purposes is prohibited. Additionally, the sale, transfer, lending, or registration in public databases of the CD and earthquake observation records are prohibited. When publicly presenting research results using the earthquake observation records recorded on the CD, please adhere to the following points:
