17WCEE Registration Desk sent an email to those who have cancelled and are eligible for a refund to ask for the bank account information as below.
We have not received reply from some of them, and if you send the bank account to the Registration Desk by January 14th (JST), we will proceed the refund.
Before you send us your bank information, please kindly confirm your bank account is correct and ask your bank the information required for overseas remittance from Japan with $USD. If we do not receive your bank information correctly by January 14th (JST), we are not able to remittance to you, unfortunately, and we will consider you donate it to 17WCEE.

All dates of 17WCEE has ended. 17WCEE was held as a hybrid conference that combines face-to-face and online, considering the uncertain situation surrounding the COVID-19. 17WCEE had about 3,000 full papers from over 70 countries and regions around the world. 172 sessions and new activities were held during this conference.

Even the in-person conference will be held at the venue for 6 days from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2, 2021, the on-line conference period will be extended to one week before and one month after the conference, from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2, 2021, as an "Extended conference period (ECP)". To aim that participants are able to access the conference nevertheless the time lag, the presentation materials submitted in advance will be opened for registered participants and the on-line bulletin board (OLBB) discussion will be available anytime during the ECP.
Sendai is a city in the northeast of Japan and the largest city of this region.
By Airplane: From Tokyo, Narita Airport to Sendai it takes 65 minutes by plane, and there are daily two flights. It is a 17-minute train ride from Sendai airport to the city.
By Shinkansen (Bullet Train): From Tokyo station to Sendai, it takes about 65 minutes to 90 minutes by Shinkansen (Bullet Train).
