The Japan Association for Earthquake Engineering established the "JAEE Incentive Award" in order to encourage young researchers who achieved significant accomplishments in the field of earthquake engineering through outstanding research. (Adopted at the 49th Board of Directors meeting on February 6, 2006). The award candidates are Individual Members or Student Members who are 35 years old or younger on April 1 of the awarding year, and up to two winners will be selected per year. The award will be given to journal papers that were published in the Journal of JAEE, between December 31 of the fiscal year before the awarding year and two years prior to that date.
